Invitation

Wah, aku dapat undangan ulang tahun dari teman aku.
Asikkkk... Bakal makan-makan nih kayanya. Aduh udah laper.. Uppss. Hehe. Jadi khilap tadi.
O'ya selamat ulang tahun ya.
Ngomong-ngomong soal undangan, undangan itu termasuk invitation gak yahhh?
Penasaran? Yuk kita belajar dulu.

Definition:
Invitation is a way to ask someone to go to an event or a place or to do something.

The function of invitation is to ask one to go to a place or to do something. We usually use the invitation in our daily life, for example, if we want to told an event like a birthday party. We use the invitation and if we want some to do something, like if we want our friends to help use, we use the invitation too.

There are 2 types of Invitation:
1. Invit Formal
Formal invitation is the offical invitation ussually written reply came from such institutions and companies, etc.

2. Invit Informal
Informal invitation is not an official invitation written or oral and this invitation is usually given to friends, family, and others.

Examples:
- We want to invite you to come to our house.
- Can you come to my restaurant?
- Are you free tonight?

Here are some other sentences to invit other(s) :
> Invite Someone (mengajak):
¤ Would you like to come to my party?
¤ Would you like to go out on Saturday night?
¤ Would you like to come to my party this evening?
¤ Can you come to my restaurant?
¤ Are you free tonight?
¤ Would you like to swim this afternoon?

¤ I'll be glad if you can attend my party.

¤ That sounds good.
¤ Thank you for inviting.

¤ Thanks. It will be fun.

¤ I'd love to. Thanks.

> Refusing (menolak):
¤ I like that, but I can't.
¤ I'm very sorry for not able to come. Sorry.
¤ I'm very busy
¤ I'd like o, but I want to visit my friend.
¤ I'd like to, but I have to study.
¤ I'm afraid I can't. I'm very busy.

At school,
Ladya: Hello, Deli.
Deli     : Hello Ladia.
Ladya: Would you like to come to my party this evening?
Deli     : I'd love to. Thanks. What time is the party.
Ladya: At 8 p.m

2. Dialog 2
In the yard,
Swan  : Hi, Yantia! How was your trip to Singapura?
Yantia: It was exciting. I really enjoyed it.
Swan  : Great. Yantia?
Yantia: Yes?
Swan : Would you like to swim this afternoon?
Yantia: I'd love to, but I'm very tired.

3. Dialog 3
In the canteen,
Radit : Firly, will you go to PALMA with me this afternoon? I want to buy a Novel for  Atin's birthday present.
Firly    : I'd loved to, but I can't. I feel very tired. I just want to go home and sleep. I'm sorry.
Radit : I see. No problem.

4. Dialog 4
Atin: What did you last Sunday, Ella?
Ella: I went with a friend to stay at his uncle's farm.
Atin: That sounds nice.
Ella: Yeah, we had a good time. How about you?
Atin: We plan to drive to the lake next weekend. Would you like to go?
Ella: I'd love to but I want to visit my grandma with my parents.
Atin: Oh. I see.

5. Dialog 5
Anton: Would you like to go to a concert with me tonight?
Fariz   : Thank you very much, I'd love to. How are we going to get there?
Anton: By motorcycle will be nice
Fariz   : At what time are you going to pick me up?
Anton: What about at seven?
Fariz   : Yeah, I'll be ready then.

6. Dialog 6
Deli: Are you free next Sunday morning?
Kesi: Um. . . Yeah. What's up?
Deli: Let's go to my grandparents' house. We can pick some ripe rambutans.
Kesi: Really? I'd love
Deli: Great! I'll pick you up at 9 a.m

7. Dialog 7
On the street, 
Rosil     : Please come to my house after school.
Wulan: Any business?
Rosil    : Hmm. . . I will have a barbeque party in the garden.
Wulan: That sounds great but I have to do something else. Sorry.
Rosil    : That's a pity.

8. Dialog 8
Kuhut gave a ride to Rosil. They are in Rosil's house yard now.
Rosil   : Thanks for the ride, Kuhut.
Kuhut: No problem.
Rosil   : Won't you come in for a drink or something?
Kuhut: No, thanks. Maybe some other time.
Rosil: Well, then. See you.
Kuhut: See you. :)

9. Dialog 9
Kiki   : Rosil, Telaga Biru is having a big sale in four days only. Do you like to join me to go there?
Rosil: No, I don't feel like it. I'm tired.
Kiki  : You can refresh you mind by doing window shopping, right?
Kiki  : Nope! I prefer staying at home to going out at this time.

10. Dialog 10
At school,
Fariz: What do you have for the lunch break?
Feli  : I have five pieces of dorayaki.
Fariz: Dorayaki? What is that?
Feli  : It's a cake that tastes delicious.
Fariz: May I have it?
Feli  : Sure. Here you're.
Fariz: Thanks. Hmm. . . Delicious.

11.Dialog 11

Tio   : Ugh. . . I'm very thirsty. Will you have a drink inthe canteen?
Apri: Ok. Let's go there now.

Rosil: Well, I want to ask you about something. Can you come to my house tonight?
Kiki  : Sure. No problem. Any business?
Rosil: Hmm. . . I will have a birthday party in my house.
Kiki  : That sounds great. What time is the party?
Rosil: at 6.30 p.m
Kiki  : OK.

Rosil: I'll wait for you then. Bye.
Kiki  : Bye.
